Why don’t you tag your fic?
The tagging system doesn’t work if I use the pretty URL setup in WordPress. (Neither does the series system, exactly.) So it comes down to which do I want, tags or nice URLs? I went with nice URLs.
Some stories from your old site are missing!
Yes. I have put my favorites of my X-Files fic here, and the rest is at the Gossamer project under the name Jenna Tooms. (I never was very original with names.) I’m very slowly including my favorites of my older work, but I will not be including all of my pre-2006 fic on this site.
Do I have to register or log in to leave a comment?
No. The form asks for your email but that will not be published anywhere, only saved in the database. The site is configured so that if you’ve left a comment before and use the same information (name, email) you only need to be approved once, and all times after your comments will be approved automatically. (This precaution is to prevent spam. Spam is evil and must be destroyed.)
You can register, though: that will give you a Subscriber level membership to the site. Due to the large amount of spam I’ve been receiving, I have switched off user registration except for those with a verified OpenID account.
Do you accept feedback?
Yes, please. In fact, not only do I accept it, I also hug it and pet it and call it George.
Please, feed the writer.
Milliways? Otherways? The Internet Cafe? WTF?
I play roleplay games on Livejournal. (I have in the past also played tabletop D&D and even LARPed. Hey, I write fanfic—my dork quotient is pretty high.) All are multi-fandom games, which allows for situations and interactions you’d never think possible in the characters’ regular universes. And sometimes characters click so perfectly you wish you could see the characters together in their regular contexts.
So, that is why you will find some of the odder pairings in my story collection: Gil Grissom married to a tree god, Ianto Jones crushing on Maid Marian or dating Major Lorne (who still needs a first name in canon, dammit), or the great love affair that was Charlie Pace/Bartleby—which will always have a special place in my heart because without them, I never would have written Chiaroscuro. Funny ole world, isn’t it?
